One cannot begin to imagine my excitement when I found an online media platform that was dedicated to sharing Asian entertainment and music content to Western audiences that was based in Australia. Of course, I had to get involved and after hearing no reply after applying for an internship/contributor position, I had given up hope until Hello Asia! popped up on my newsfeed a year later. I decided to give it another go and sent an email directly to its editor Johnny. Although a little surprised at how I had found his contact details, he wholeheartedly welcomed me onto the Hello Asia! team! Starting off by contributing album and single reviews as well as news articles on C-pop events, working with Hello Asia! has offered me numerous opportunities that have broadened my repertoire endlessly by challenging me to try different formats such as film reviews, radio hosting, attending red carpet events and participating in roundtable interviews.
